QUINNY & COMPANY DROP DEBUT EP ALONG THE WAY OUT MAY 4

Folk/West Coast collective Quinny & Company are set to release their long-awaited debut EP, Along the Way, on May 4, 2025.

Led by Chicago-born, London-based singer-songwriter (JB) Jim Bernard, Quinny & Company blend heartfelt Americana with breezy West Coast vibes. The band features an all-star lineup: JB’s daughter Sarah Bernard on vocals, longtime Moody Blues flautist Norda Mullen, ex-Suzi Quatro drummer Colin Woolway, Big Country founding member Alan Wishart on electric guitar, and former indie rocker John Cheal on bass.

JB, once part of 80s Midwestern act FreeStyle, detoured away from music to a different road but the songs never stopped coming. With Along the Way finally ready to share them. The band recently wowed fans supporting Norda Mullen at a sold-out Half Moon, Putney show in 2024.

Sarah, a nomadic artist now based in Denver, has spent six years performing with her dad. It means the world to release this music with him, she says.

Recorded at Skyline Studios with Jez Larder, Along the Way is a warm, genre-spanning collection: from the sun-soaked shimmer of Sarah's Drifting and Dreams, to the rich harmonies of Under the Willow, vintage tones of Hold Me Tight, and rock-tinged Suzy & Alexander.

Says JB: each song is a snapshot of the people and places we’ve passed along the way. This project would not have come to life without the unwavering love and support of my beautiful Terri, along with our incredible family, friends, and the many talented musicians who helped shape this music. These stories have been growing quietly for years and now it’s time to let them fly.

For fans of John Mellencamp, Paul Simon, The Beatles, Florence and the Machine, and Myles Smith, Quinny & Company offer something familiar, yet wholly their own.

1 June 2026 - Exciting time as work has begun on new songs and targeting to be back in the studio this fall.

31 December 2025 - Had a great time playing and ringing in 2026 at our favourite pub The Victoria Inn in Richmond. So much fun and can’t wait to we see everyone there again.

21 September 2025 - We had the honour for the second year running to open for the great Norda Mullen at the Half Moon in Putney. We thourougy enjoyed performing to the sold out (actually oversold and standing room only) audience! Check out the review of the evening show.

13 June 2025 - Check out our EP review on "Get Ready to ROCK!" a website and radio station focused on rock music, offering album reviews, interviews, and gig reviews. It's known for its comprehensive and informed coverage, coupled with quality rock photography. The site also features a radio station with programming that complements the website content, including links to album reviews.

26 May 2025 - We are beyond excited to announce that we have just been asked to return as the supporting act for Norda Mullen for the second year running at the Half Moon, Putney on September 21 at 7:30PM. Get your tickets here quickly as last year was a sold out performance!

3 May 2025 - Our first EP. Along The Way is officially launched! So excited to share this with you. If you are in Richmond, UK tomorrow be sure to drop to our release party at The Victoria Inn from 4pm to 6pm.

5 April 2025 - Big news as we are preparing to release our first EP with 6 original songs! Stay tuned!

28 April 2024 - Opening for Norda Mullen at the Half Moon in Putney UK. Norda played with the world famous rock band the Moody Blues for 20 years, and has since focused on her solo career playing sold out shows in London

20 August 2019 - Quinny & Company have released their first original song “Drifting”, available exclusively on our website. The song was written by Sarah and features her singing and playing her Ukulele.

JB – Vocals, Guitar

Chicago-born and London-based singer-songwriter, JB is the founder and driving force behind Quinny & Company. Formerly part of the 1980s Midwestern band FreeStyle, he returned to music after a corporate career to bring a lifetime of songs to life, blending Americana, folk, and rock influences.

Sarah Bernard – Vocals, Ukulele

A Denver-based artist and JB’s daughter, Sarah has collaborated with her father for several years. Her vocals bring a contemporary, melodic layer to the band’s sound, with a strong presence across their original material.

Norda Mullen – Flute, Melodica, Vocals, Percussion

Best known as a longtime flautist with the Moody Blues, Norda adds distinctive melodic textures and multi-instrumental depth. Her experience in classic rock contributes a polished, atmospheric edge to the group’s sound.

Colin Woolway – Drums, Percussion

Former drummer for Suzi Quatro, Colin brings seasoned rock experience and rhythmic precision. His drumming anchors the band’s genre-spanning style, from folk-inspired tracks to more upbeat rock numbers.

Alan Wishart – Electric Guitar

A founding member of Big Country, Alan contributes expressive guitar work rooted in classic rock traditions. His playing adds both energy and melodic sophistication to the band’s arrangements.

John Cheal – Bass Guitar

Former indie rock musician, John provides the low-end foundation for Quinny & Company. His bass lines help shape the groove and cohesion across the band’s diverse musical styles.

Everett Climer – Electric Guitar, Bass, Mandolin

Everett was an early contributor to the band, playing multiple string instruments. His versatility supported the group’s evolving sound during its formative stages.

Dean Raskin – Violin, Vocals

Dean brought a folk-influenced dimension through violin and vocals, contributing to the band’s acoustic and Americana elements during his time with the group.
